  1. The school session which starts in the first week of April and ends in the last week of march is divided into two terms for classes I to XII. the first term extends from April to October and the second term from November to March. Session for KG classes is divided into three terms (I Term: April to August, II Term: September to November and III Term: December to March). Medium of instruction shall be English.
  2.  Three Unit Tests (for classes I – XII) and two term-end examinations will be conducted during the academic year, besides class and weekly assessment tests (WAT). The second unit test shall be called Quick Test, details of which shall be conveyed to the concerned in due time. No student at any time is exempted from any examination.
  3. Promotion is granted on the basis of an entire year’s performance of the students, which shall cover unit tests, term-end tests, weekly assessment tests (WAT), class work, attendance, assignments, performance in sports and co-curricular activities and discipline. The general criteria for promotion is that a pupil has grasped the subject-matter of his/her present class sufficiently to follow the subject in the higher class easily. At the end of the academic year, only those students who pass on their year’s performance will be promoted. A student who, due to illness, is unable to sit for the final examination, but whose yearly record is good, may be promoted on the basis of that record.
  4. Report cards indicating progress of the students will be presented to the parents / guardians after every term-end examination. The same should be signed by the parents / guardians in the school itself and be returned (after Term – 1- end examination results) on the same day.
  5. On the result day of every unit test, test copies will not be sent home, instead these shall be shown to parents / guardians on the prospective PTM for their acknowledgment.
  6. Only those students who have paid the school fees for the academic year and have obtained 94% attendance shall be eligible to appear in the Term – 2 end examination.
  7. Students absent from examination or unit tests for any reason, shall not be re-examined. In case of certified illness, their promotion will be processes on the basis of their performance in the class as well as in other tests or examinations conducted during the academic year.
  8. Absence from any paper involves loss of marks in those subjects and such absentees will be excluded from being reckoned in order of merit of rank at the class level.
  9. Any kind of malpractice during examinations is punishable. Punishment may include expulsion from school, or cancellation of the paper in question or eviction from examination.
  10. The class teacher will ensure that every pupil of his/her class noted the marks of WAT, unit and term-end examinations on the respective pages in the diary.
  11. A student will be considered passed, if he/she scores a minimum of 40 marks in every subject taught in the class.
  12. Answer paper of the 2nd term-end examination will be re-checked only on the written request of the parents, however it will not, on any account, be shown to the students, parents or tutors. Requests for re-evaluation shall be entertained till the 7th day after Annual Results.
  13. Performance of a student in Term one will be evaluated by way of T1 written examination that carries 25 marks and various assignments and holiday projects and books during the term, which carries 5 marks besides U1 and U2 examinations that carry 10 marks each.
  14. Performance of a student in Term 2 will be evaluated by way of T2 written examination that carries 25 marks and various assignments and holiday projects and books during the term, which carries 5 marks and WAT and U3 examinations that carry 10 marks each.
  15. Unit exam will have 50 as its maximum marks whereas term-end one and two exams 90 and 80 marks respectively. Unit exams are held at school level and term-end exams (for classes 1-7) at diocesan level.
  16. As a rule leave is not sanctioned on WAT days. The students who are ill should not be forced by the parents to appear in WAT. Parent’s request for early departure of a sick student who was brought to the school to appear in the WAT will not be entertained. In such cases WAT of that child will be declared cancelled.
  17. Results declared are final in all cases and will not be reconsidered. There will be no reconsideration or retests. Answer scripts of Term – 2 exams are not shown to the parents/guardians.
  18. No appeal for promotion of a student declared as having failed will be entertained. Even in case of requests of parents for transfer certificate of repeated wards, the declared result will not be altered at any cost.
  19. No student will be allowed to repeat the same class for more than 2 years. He/She will have to discontinue his/her studies in the school.
  20. If a repeated student, at the beginning of the new session, absents himself/herself for a week or more, his/ her name is likely to be struck off the rolls.
  21. All cases were doubt regarding promotions exists are left entirely to the Principal and his decision is final.
